HEAL TOXIC SHAME
I'm Matteo Morozzo, a certified Somatic Experiencing Practitioner. For most of my life I swung between anger and shame, and I didn't know why. I work with people who have done the therapy and the spiritual work and are still stuck, because I was one of them.

I am fifty-six. The unsafety I learned as a small child is still part of me.
But next to it, most days, there is peace and a sense of being alive.
Anger still comes, and now I can feel it and choose what to do with it.
Shame still comes too, mostly when I am stepping into something new.
I recognize it, and it no longer runs my life.
That's where I help people get to. Not a life without shame or anger.
A body with enough room to hold both.

Me, at three
My father and me
When I was two, I spent a month alone in a hospital bed with a serious burn on my foot.
My parents weren't there, and I didn't know if they were coming back. My body learned that the world was not safe.
My father was a good man from an aristocratic, military family, and he couldn't stand weakness, in himself or in me.
His anger came fast, and many times he hit me. A small child can't think, "My father can't control himself." He thinks: something is wrong with me.
Slowly, his anger became mine. At fifteen, a voice in my head said, "I want to die," and I told no one. As I got older, my anger came out the way his did, and afterwards the shame came, heavy and total. Anger, then shame. Shame, then anger. I swung between the two for most of my life. Therapy helped me understand more, and I felt the same. Yoga and meditation gave me peace for a few hours, then it faded.

If a voice like that is part of your life right now, please don't carry it alone. Contact a local crisis line or emergency services. findahelpline.com lists free lines in most countries.
When my father died in 2018, everything fell apart. I burned out, and a new voice started: "I hate you." For two years my anger exploded and I couldn't control it. I hurt people I cared about, and I became scared of myself. A therapist finally named it: developmental trauma. But understanding it didn't make it stop.
What changed it was the body: Somatic Experiencing and IFS. I learned to feel anger as sensation without letting it take me over, and to stay present when shame pulled me down. It was never a flaw in my character. It was a nervous system with too little room. Slowly the room grew, until my body could feel anger without exploding, and shame without collapsing.
Somatic Experiencing is the core of how I work.
I became a practitioner to live this healing, not only to study it.
Around it: I've taught yoga since 2012 and practiced NLP since 2012.
I'm a Tantra facilitator, a breathwork facilitator, and a practitioner of
Chi Nei Tsang, the Taoist belly massage that works with emotion
held in the belly. I draw on IFS and NARM.
I'm not selling a branded method with my name on it.
I'm giving you what actually helped, in the order it helps.

Me, as a small child
There are two things I believe at the same time.
What happened to me should not have happened. And something in me took that wound and used it. It sent me across the world. It made me curious. It made me strong.
It should not have happened, and it made me who I am. My body now has enough room to hold both.
Was it a wound, or was it my soul finding its way? I still don't know.
That is why I do this work. Especially with men, who so often carry anger and shame alone, and in silence.
